Surgery

Veterinary surgery requires experience, careful planning and strict control at every stage. Our goal is to provide safety and clarity before, during and after each procedure.

Veterinary surgery: experience, safety and follow-up

With the aim of providing high-quality veterinary medicine, we have a surgical team with extensive experience and an operating theatre equipped with appropriate technology for veterinary surgical procedures.

From routine surgeries, such as neutering and spaying, to procedures of greater complexity, we work to adapt to the specific needs of each patient.
We place particular emphasis on anaesthetic safety, pain management, and the use of the most appropriate surgical techniques for each case.

The surgical team at Veterinari del Clínic pays close attention to ensuring that every patient receives comprehensive care before, during and after surgery.
Working in coordination with the intensive care team, we support each patient throughout their recovery, promoting a controlled and safe healing process.

Veterinary surgery is divided into different areas:

Soft tissue surgery
Also known as general surgery. It includes procedures involving the ears, nasal cavity, neck, cardiothoracic structures, the hepatic system, digestive system, urogenital system, as well as skin reconstruction and oncological surgery.

Orthopaedic surgery
Covers surgical procedures related to the musculoskeletal system, including bones, joints, ligaments, tendons and muscles, which require specific assessment.
Some of the most common procedures include:

  • Fracture repair
  • Cranial cruciate ligament rupture correction
  • Patellar luxation correction
  • Correction of elbow or scapulohumeral joint disorders

Neurosurgery
Performed in coordination with the neurology service, in cases where a surgical procedure is required to correct or alleviate a neurological condition.

Our approach

We plan each surgery carefully, explain every step clearly to the family, and always prioritise patient safety and wellbeing.

Book an appointment for a surgical assessment and we will clearly explain the best option for your dog or cat.
